Starches
Some PURE-DENT® food starch modified products have good properties for adhesion in batter and breading applications.

PURE-COTE® modified food starch can improve the crispness and reduce oil absorption when added to batters for the fryer.

Fibers
TruBran® ingredients provide a "good" source of fiber to battered and breaded products without inhibiting the texture or taste. Processing changes are not necessary with the addition of this fiber since it easily incorporates into the batter. Adding crispness to applications such as corn dog batter or hush puppies is possible with TruBran® ingredients.
