Maltodextrins + corn syrup solids Starches PURE-SET® modified food starches can be incorporated into the dry addition of extruded snacks and ready-to-eat cereals for lower barrel viscosity and improved throughputs. The use of this family of starches results in tighter cell structure in ready-to-eat cereals, which can significantly extend the bowl life. Fibers Extruded Snacks and Cereals – TruBran® corn bran is a high-purity, low-flavor dietary fiber ingredient that works well in a variety of snacks, cereal products and healthy bars. Because of the relatively high level of fiber, it can be used in extruded snacks and cereals at levels to meet label claim requirements for an "excellent" source of fiber without sacrificing flavor, color, texture or expansion. Chips – In tortilla and snack chips, TruBran® ingredients can be used to provide a "good" or "excellent" source of fiber. It blends easily with corn meal, flours and other dry ingredients during snack dough production. When looking to create a crisp texture and clean flavor profile in snack chips, TruBran® corn bran delivers. Baked Snacks – The use of TruBran® corn bran in baked snacks such as crackers and baked chips enhances color and provides a clean flavor profile. In these products, it is easy to achieve a "good" or "excellent" source of fiber claim with these ingredients. The low moisture absorption of TruBran® ingredients requires few formulation or processing adjustments.
