Maltodextrins + corn syrup solids
MALTRIN® maltodextrins are multifunctional ingredients for use in shaving creams and gels. They help build body without adding a lot of viscosity, help with foam stability and also create a smooth skinfeel with their natural humectant properties. MALTRIN® maltodextrins do not have to be heated and are mild and nonirritating for use in sensitive skin formulas.
Starches
Mildness is key in a shaving cream or gel because the act of shaving is an irritating process. PURE-GEL® and Zeina® modified starches provide mildness to the product and leave the skin feeling silky and smooth. PURE-GEL® products are thickeners and stabilize the viscosity against acid, heat and shear. Zeina® modified starch contributes film properties to the formula without heavy thickness. Both products build foam stability.
