Maltodextrins + corn syrup solids
The flowability and compaction properties of MALTRIN^® and MALTRIN QD^® maltodextrins are perfect for allowing the formation of plugs when using high-speed capsule-filling equipment. MALTRIN^® products are effective carriers and bulking agents for filling two-piece, hard gelatin capsules or soft gelatin capsules. They are also excellent adhesive agents when used in the shell layer of soft, non-gelatin capsules.

Starches
PURE-COTE^® modified starches NF are used in combination with other film-forming polymers to produce non-gelatin, softgel capsules. Their low viscosity allows for increased solution concentration. In two-piece, hard gelatin capsules, Spress^® starches perform as binder, diluent, lubricant and disintegrant when manufacturing plugs on high-speed capsule filling equipment. PURE-DENT^® starches are used as carriers and bulking agents for filling two-piece, hard gelatin capsules.

Fibers
TruBran^® corn bran is available in different particle sizes which lend flexibility for filling two-piece, hard gelatin capsules. To improve flow properties this fiber can also be granulated.
