spotlightGrain Processing Corporation Receives Prestigious BRC Certification![]() Grain Processing Corporation (GPC) is pleased to announce its facilities received certification from the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standards for Food Safety, an internationally recognized safety and quality certification program. According to Brian Tompoles, Vice President of Sales for GPC, “The BRC certification is a verification of GPC’s long-term commitment to the highest quality and food safety standards.” Both of GPC’s ingredient manufacturing facilities located in Muscatine, Iowa, and Washington, Indiana, received BRC certifications for maltodextrin and alcohol. This provides assurance and confidence to customers that GPC is committed to consistently delivering safe food ingredients to customers worldwide. GPC joins a network of over 14,000 BRC certified sites in over 100 countries. In 1996, the British Retail Consortium (BRC) developed and introduced the BRC Food Technical Standard to be used to evaluate manufacturers of private label food products. It is designed to assist retailers and manufacturers to identify suppliers that produce food products at the highest standards of quality. Today, BRC Global Standards are internationally recognized as part of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), a nonprofit foundation started by the Consumer Goods Forum in 2000. |
