Oil and Grease Resistance for Food-Contact Packaging

A common requirement for food-contact packaging is a level of oil and grease resistance (OGR). For many years, OGR has been achieved with the use of fluorocarbons (FC), also known as polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Regulations are ever-changing and continue to become more stringent with the growing number of consumer and environmental concerns. Current regulations and the uncertainty of future regulations regarding PFAS have led to an increase in interest of FC-free products. This is where GPC can help.
