MUSCATINE, IOWA (April 11, 2024) – Grain Processing Corporation (GPC), part of the KENT® Corporation family of companies, recently hosted an educational tour for eleven agricultural students from Muscatine High School at its Muscatine, Iowa facility.

The visit provided students with a unique opportunity to step beyond the classroom and witness firsthand the scale and sophistication involved in GPC’s corn wet milling process. They discovered how GPC transforms the entire corn kernel into high-quality ingredients that serve manufacturers in over 70 countries worldwide.

During the tour, GPC employees engaged in discussions with the students, covering topics such as sustainability, innovation and diverse career paths within the agricultural sector. These interactions aimed to broaden the students’ perspectives on agriculture, emphasizing its critical role in the global economy and its impact on food security.

Isaac Van Nice, GPC’s Starch Division Superintendent, and the event tour guide expressed enthusiasm about the students’ interest in agriculture, “It is great to see such passion among the youth,” Van Nice said. “Initiatives like this remind us of the importance of our work and its impact on the world.”

This educational initiative reflects GPC’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and education, with the goal of inspiring the next generation of agricultural professionals.
